News Reading (MNR)

Purpose:

This course is designed to give you an overall understanding of how to read the news. The course is conducted in a one-to-one format over a three session period. During the course you will learn how to use your voice and upper body skilfully to deliver a variety of emotional “reads” for radio and TV (including serious, happy, light, informative, instructional angles), to develop the ability to “sight-read”, turning written words into “spoken” English and to conduct yourself confidently and professionally in a news recording session. TV playback and autocue will give you an opportunity to see yourself in action and to fine-tune your performance.

Great for people... who want to improve their voiceover and presenting skills.

Purpose:

This course is designed to give you an overall understanding of how to be a presenter who is also skilled at voiceover delivery and technique. The course is conducted in a one-to-one format over a four session period. During the course you will learn how to use your voice skilfully to deliver a variety of presentation "angles" such as retail, narrative and corporate for TV, Film and radio (including assorted straight and character voices). You will also develop your ability to “sight-read”, turning written words into “spoken” English and to conduct yourself confidently and professionally in a recording session and live broadcast situation. A favourite course with new presenters of all the major TV companies.

Autocue - What it is and how to use it (MAQ)

Great for executives and others... who have to speak at Conferences or Large Presentations.

Purpose:

This course is designed to give you an overall understanding of how to read your speech from an autocue. The autocue saves you a lot of time and effort when presenting your speech at large conventions and meetings, and can make you look extremely professional as a presenter. However, many people have no idea how to use an autocue (or have never even heard of one !). During this course you will learn some simple and easy techniques that will allow you to develop the ability to “sight-read”, turning written words into “spoken” English and to conduct yourself confidently and professionally in front of the autocue set up. If you’re ready to “wow !” your audience, this is a must do course.
